Christmas In Boracay, Boracay Island Philippines

December 8, 2009

Christmas is in the air…and the fresh, cool air of Boracay seems to be calling us to celebrate Christmas there with our loved ones.

I have only been to Boracay once, and it was last summer… The experience then was different.  Us wanting to cool our skins because of the summer heat.

But, this time, it would be a welcome thing to feel the chill in that hidden paradise with the grandeous, powdery white sand that nature offers, plus the conveniences of a city life.  Who would have thought that a place that would have just only offered you the freshest coconuts and all other  nature’s best would also give you the coolest entertainments that only a regular city can offer.

That’s Boracay… a magical place that offers both nature and modern conveniences…

I wish I can spend Christmas in Boracay with my special one… Well, that’s just a dream for now. But dreams do come true, who knows tomorrow or the next day, he would tell me that he has already purchased our tickets and booked our hotel room in Boracay.  He is so full of surprises and he might just do that anytime soon…tweet tweet…

I can still remember the night life there… A long stretch of powder-white sand that is lighted with colors you can imagine and music that all generations can relate to.  The place just offers everybody the choices suited for their type of personality, budget and orientation.

The place gives you 24 hours of food and entertainment and allows you to choose the type of accommodation according to your budget, and gives you the freedom to decide whether to bring the whole family or just your spouse.  There are just accommodations for each and everyone.  There are villas for the whole family.  For those who prefer to enjoy preparing their own food while celebrating Christmas,  Just by a click of a finger, you can already find the right place for you to spend a magical Christmas in Boracay.

For now, it is just a wish upon a star, but who knows that Father Christmas, as a friend calls Santa, would be kind enough and book us a ticket and boracay accommodation for two on Christmas day in beautiful BORACAY

My Boracay Experience

My Boracay Experience

As I saw all the people coming in an out of Boracay from the Jetty Port, I couldn’t help but be thankful to The Great One for giving me the chance to see, feel and smell Boracay, and experience the island life for nearly a week.
Going down from the boat was so easy with our without the help of the boatmen, as we arrived Boracay during a bright, sunny day, where the sea was calm and the sun shone at its brightest as if welcoming us in our visit to the wonderful island.
As we opted to go to the hotel on our own (we thought that was part of our adventure), so we just went our way and tried to find the transportation we could use going to our hotel.
Before us, we saw the tricycles lined up waiting for passengers.  There were no taxis, just tricycles as the place is just so small you can actually go around in a couple of hours or so.  We had to wait a bit for other passengers to join us in the tricycle ride.  Since there were only two of us, so we waited for 4 more to complete the trip.  After a little while, we were all set to go to our respective destinations.  The ride from the Jetty Port was only 10 minutes more or less going to Station 2 where our hotel was.

Wow! Was the word we uttered when we saw our hotel.   As, even if it wasn’t fronting the sea, it was just a few steps away…. Amazing!  To top it all, behind the hotel was D’Mall where you have a wide array of choices for your food and other needs.  Great!
Well, not to forget, the hotel itself was really a good place to stay.  It’s not only clean and safe, and near everything, it also has friendly and helpful staff to help you all throughout your stay.  The room is clean, air con is cool and quiet and the linens and towels are clean.  Food is good too… It is just a wonderful world, I would say…
After checking in and resting a while, we decided to check the seaside…where all the action is!  Wow and another wow for the hordes of people walking past us.  Wonder where they come from.  Definitely, some of them were members of the Philippine Association of Real Estate Boards(PAREB) holding the Visayas-Mindanao Conference there.  Definitely a good place to converge for business and pleasure.
As we walked through the long stretch of powder white sand, we saw all the food stalls lined up, offering different cuisines.

Boracay! Boracay! Boracay! I love it…
